Rain spoiled the 1st KFC International T20, and once again, rain interrupted the 2nd T20 on Tuesday , December 12 at St George’s Park Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Currently, India is at 180/7 in 19.3 overs. After winning the toss, South African captain Aiden Markram decided to field first, and the match is almost halfway through.

The more it rains in this game, the higher the chances that Mitch will play, but with a reduction in overs. If the rain continues, the South African cricket management and umpires might abandon the match. If that happens, it will be a really sad evening for cricket lovers all over the world. Let’s see what happens.

Currently on the pitch for India, Rinku Singh is playing with 68 runs off 39 balls, hitting 9 fours and 2 sixes (not out). In the beginning, India’s openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (0 runs) and Shubman Gill (0) didn’t score a single run, and India were 6 runs for 2 wickets in 1.6 overs. Then, Captain Suryakumar Yadav took responsibility and scored 56 runs in 36 balls, including 5 fours and 3 sixes before getting out but completing his job. Other batsmen’s scores are as follows: Tilak Varma 29 runs in 20 balls, JM Sharma 1 run, Ravindra Jadeja 19 runs in 14 balls, Arshdeep Singh 0 run.

On the other side, South Africa’s bowlers did a really good job initially by taking quick 2 wickets, but they couldn’t stop the Indian batsmen from making partnerships. Towards the end of the innings, they made a comeback by taking Suryakumar’s wicket when he was looking dangerous. So far, Gerald Coetzee took 3 wickets in his 3.3 overs spell, giving away 32 runs; M Jansen took 1 wicket in 3 overs, conceding 39 runs; LB Williams bowled 3 overs and took 1 wicket, giving away 32 runs; T Shamsi took 1 wicket in 4 overs, and Aiden Markram bowled 3 overs, taking 1 wicket and giving away 29 runs.
